About
Barry K. Newman is the founder of the Criminal Defense Law Firm of Newman & Evans, APC. Mr. Newman is a native Californian with over 30 years of legal practice experience and has practiced in Solano County since 1987. He is a dedicated criminal defense trial lawyer who takes prides in being an active participant of the legal community. Mr. Newman was rated by fellow attorneys as a highly ethical. His legal ability was rated very high.
Mr. Newman has been a member of the adjunct faculty at California State University, Sacramento, teaching law related courses in the Criminal Justice Department. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1982. Mr. Newman is a member of the Solano County Bar Association, and the California Attorney’s For Criminal Justice.
In addition to my work as a criminal defense attorney I have represented prisoners at Lifer Hearings, on Petitions for Writs of Habeas Corpus, and on appeals. In addition to my legal work, I have taught various criminal justice courses at California State University, Sacramento.
